Decades Musical Theme Park-Update

Have you heard, the theme park has passed the House, Senate and Signed by Governor Janet Napolitano!!!  This is great news for Pinal County and the State of Arizona.  There is also rumor that a great deal of land has been purchased off I10 and Sunshine Blvd in Eloy for another park of some kind.  This will really help our economy!!

The Natives are restless in AZC!

For a small town, Arizona City has more than it’s share of conflicts…  This weeks local paper, front page, Lawsuit between AZ Ciity Sanitary District and The AZ City Golf Course.

Then move on to the Postal service problem.

The Incorporation effort didn’t make the paper this week but is usually represented.

New MLS System

Beginning July 29, the Realtors will be using a new system to help you via the Multiple Listing Service.  I went to a class yesterday and believe it will be more efficient than the current system.  There will be a little learning curve and it will take sometime to iron out the bugs, but be patient and it will all come together.

Decades Musical Theme Park

Great news for Pinal County and the State of Arizona!!  We are getting closer!!  The Senate passed Bill 1450 - Decades Musical Theme Park 17-9!  It is now gone to the Govenor and we should have word in a couple of weeks!

This will be a real shot in the arm for this area!!  The target date is 2013 so keep your fingers crossed!!

Hump day

Another week half gone.  How time flies when your having fun!! 

Managed to fall into the back door of the office and did a job on my knee and wrist.  Made an appointment at an Orothopedic office in Casa Grande.  I don’t quite understand why they would make a new patient appointment for such injuries and not have an x-ray tech on duty?? Needless to say it didn’t do alot of good.  I worked in the medical field and when they started practicing insurance instead of medicine I had my fill.  Pretty scary….

It is 112 here today and the nights are in the mid to high 80’s.  Monsoon season is officially here as of the 15th so we can look forward to wind, dust and hopefully rain.

My granddaughter has been in California since school is out and boy do we miss her.  We will go pick her up right after the 4th of July, YEAH!!

Ireland day 14

We joined up with our Tour Director Marie and took public transportation to Howth.  There were only nine of us out of the original forty - the others departed for home on Saturday.

It was great scenery.  Howth is a very small fishing village.  We lunched at “The Bloody Stream”.  Was great fun socializing with the smaller group. 

Marie departed from us that afternoon for a well deserved time off.  She looked as tired as I felt!!  A tour director job is no easy task, she did it like the pro she is.

We were up at the crack of dawn the next morning to find our way to the airport.  All went well, we had a direct flight to San Francisco and were really glad to see Jean’s daughter Courtney!!  For some reason the flight home was much more tiring than the one over!  I didn’t really feel the jet lag until I got home a couple days later. 

There was a fashion show in Dixon the day I first arrived there and it was such fun to see old friends.  I lived there for nearly 30 years.  The day after we got home Jean had a few ladies for lunch so we had a great visit.  June, Vi, Claudia have been friends for along time.  So true that old friends are gold and new are silver.  How fortunate I am to have both.

Ireland day 13

I chose to give Jean a day with her grandson and his girlfriend and Frans, the exchange student that they enjoyed in their home in the 70’s. He lives in Belgium and flew in to spend the weekend.  He is a delight, not much change except a few gray hairs!!

 I really needed some R&R so I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and then fell asleep in front of the TV. 

The day before I didn’t mention, we visited Dustins apartment and had a great lunch at a pub and then celebrated our mutual birthdays that evening.
